what is the standard of higher edu in Russia and how much is the value of its degrees in India?

I am a sudent of class XII in India. I want to pursue higher education in Russia. I am told that Russian degrees do not have much recognition in India for job prospects. How far is it true and whether it is advisable to pursue higher edu in Russia. hanx.
