What is the starting salary at ONGC through GATE 2022?

The starting salary at ONGC through GATE is; Basic pay: INR 60,000 + INR 21,000 cafeteria + INR 6,000 Dearness Allowance (variable) + House Rent Allowance depending on posting location + INR 11,000 Vehicle allowance for 4-wheeler and INR 4,000 for 2-wheeler + uniform allowance of INR 33,000 per 3 months (that means INR 11,000 per month) - deduction of around INR 30,000 (contains Provident Fund, Post Retirement Benefit Scheme, Income taxes, Central Secretariat Service)= In-hand salary. House Rent Allowance: 24 percent for A-class cities, 14 percent for B-class, and 8 percent for C-class cities If you are staying at once provided accommodation then you can claim House Rent Allowance for your hometown and if you are staying on your own in the place of posting then you can claim House Rent Allowance for that location. For Example: If someone is posted in Ahmedabad and he/she has a vehicle and staying in a flat in Ahmedabad (A class city) then he/she will get INR 60,000 + INR 21,000 + INR 6,000 + INR 14,000 (House Rent Allowance) + INR 11,000 (Conveyance Maintenance Reimbursement of Expenditure) + INR 11,000 (uniform allowance) - INR 30,000 (deduction): INR 93,000 average in-hand salary per month of ONGC employees. Additionally, you will get INR 1 Lacs for a laptop or computer +INR 20,000 for mobile + INR 18,000 for spectacle + INR 5,000 for baggage + Performance Related pay + unlimited medical facility. The above salary figure is obtained only considering the uniform tax deduction of INR 7,000 and INR 7,000 will be deducted only in the first 34 months and after that tax deduction increases as your gross salary increases. So in starting you may get INR 93,000 per month but if you consider the total tax deduction then you will get approximately INR 80,000 per month throughout the year.

In ONGC starting salary is (Through GATE 60,000/- to 1,80,000 per month. After this, salary will increase drastically.
