What is the status of the placement record for law graduates at LPU?

As per my findings, the law programmes in LPU are approved by Bar Council of India, School of Law is one of the best Law colleges in India and Punjab. To get direct admission B.A. LL.B. In Top Colleges, you should have qualified 10+2 or equivalent examination with at least 50% marks. Intermediate passed candidates can apply for an integrated course in law. The selection of the candidates is offered through written tests and interviews. But it varies from University to University. One of the pros of pursuing B.A. LL.B. Is the learning opportunities that prepare you to pursue a law profession in the corporate sector. Corporate sectors also include various distinguished law firms as well, where a graduate may receive a lucrative package. Although there are various Universities that offer this course, But I must advise one can go for University that offers this course with varies exposure, I. e. Lovely Professional University. For taking admission in LPU, students need to qualify in LPU NEST Exam. LPU NEST (Lovely Professional University National Eligibility & Entrance and Scholarship Test) is a National Level test conducted by LPU in Online Proctored mode this year. I would like to share my insights about LPU as I had completed my graduation from LPU. Dear Rajat, The status of the placement record for law graduates at LPU is really very good. The School of Law is governed and regulated by the Bar Council of India (BCI) and its curriculum is also provided by BCI and in order to make students top-to-date and the latest trends in the field of law, the School of Law takes initiatives to modify the curriculum as and when need arises. Students have undergone internships at various High Courts, law firms, law chambers, commissions, corporate houses and NGOs. The Alumni's are working as Judicial officers, Legal practitioners and Corporate advisors and Civil servants. In addition to this, MOOT court sessions are also provided to experience the scenario of courts. Some of the companies which have made or shown interest in recruitment from our campus are: MAP Legal Corporation, Manupatra & Co, Integrity Associates, LEGASIS, Thomson Reuters have recruited the students and many more at the annual package of Rs. 300000 per annum and above. Hi Rajat, the highest salary last year was 6.2 LPA and 5.1 LPA was the average salary. Law department at LPU is one of the first departments that came up when LPU was taking its shape. According to NIRF ranking the Law School is ranked 24th. The vision of the school is studying by books is not a rule of Law. The course aims at preparing the students with an interest to pursue legal education with social sciences to benefit society. Creation of well trained and dedicated professionals in the legal framework. It also aims at nurturing a graduate with in depth knowledge of different aspects of laws comprising civil, criminal, taxation and international laws and ensuring conceptual clarity for judicial services aspirants. Law students are prepared to spot legal issues from a set of hypothetical facts and brainstorm various legal consequences, to be a perfect legal professional. The courses are approved by the Bar Council of India. The Career guidance magazine Higher Education Review has recognised Law School at Lovely Professional University among top-ten most promising institutions of India for its capability of producing next-gen legal professionals. The eligibility criteria for the course is 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 (with English or equivalent. For a candidate, who has not studied English as a subject, the condition of English may be waived off provided the candidate in his qualifying exam has studied in English medium. For SC ST applicants there is 5 percent relaxation while there is 3 percent relaxation for the OBC candidates. In addition to it, for North East states and Sikkim candidates/ Defence Personnel and their Dependents/ Wards of Kashmir Migrants) too there is 5 percent relaxation. The LPU students were invited by Punjab Police for an internship where they were taught nuances of investigation. The university has an MOU with NLSIU Bangalore for various academic programmes.

Hello Rajat, I have experienced in LPU as a student and I learned plenty of things during my graduation. LPU provides the beautiful infrastructure and all required resources to students and staff. I will highly recommend that if you really want to make your career with good level of education then you should go for LPU. When I was seeking college for admission for my graduation, I was quite confused. But after a long comparison with all relevant facts and figures I joined LPU and now I am an alumni of LPU and the Decision for LPU was best decision of my life. LPU gave me extra edge in everything. Even The School of Law is governed and regulated by the Bar Council of India (BCI) and its curriculum is also provided by BCI. LPU provides Experiential learning by Regular Open House Discussions in order to generate awareness about contemporary issues to identify corresponding legal challenges and implications. Role plays on different cases to develop skills for argumentation and have better understanding of judgments. Dear Student, Students generally land up with pre placement offers from law firms, advocates, corporate houses, etc. For practice as interns. Many students go for Judicial services. A few choose higher studies and those who have good CGPA, land up with heavy scholarships for studies for LL. M. In some cases, students get monthly stipend whereas in other cases, students get monthly salary during training period. Students can attain positions as Legal Practitioner, Judicial Officer in civil, criminal, taxation, intellectual property right after completing their internships. Compulsory internship/training programme encourages students to conduct original research and inculcates in them the art of presenting a particular subject before the class. Internships and moot trials help you blend theoretical knowledge with practical challenges. You spend time on conducting mock trial courts and you work with NGOs, Supreme Court and High Court Judges, companies, law firms, both national and international. Ultimately it all depends on the student where he wants to see himself after graduating from the college and to identify in which branch of law his interests lies.
