    DCET (Diploma Common Entrance Exam) is organized by Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA). This is an entrance exam for students who want to take admission in government colleges of Karnataka in the 2nd-year of engineering or in the 1st year of architecture. Candidate must pass their class 12th exam with atleast 45% marks and physics, maths as the main subject for being eligible for this exam. Question are asked from the syllabus upto class 12th and applied maths and science.     The students who are admitted from DCET are admitted directly to third semester as lateral entry students from third semester on wards their subject syllabus will be same as those regular students who are admitted to first semester from CET examination. The examination norms of university which are applicable to regular students are also applicable to Diploma based lateral entry students. Only additional mathematics subject called dip. Maths should be additionally taken by lateral entry students. In addition two more subjects namely constitutio of India, Environmental engineering has to be taken.     Hello,
    The Diploma Common Entrance Test is an exam conducted by Karnataka Examination Authority. The maximum score is 180. The duration is obvious 3 hours. The questions paper will contain three segments. The first one is for Applied Mathematics. The total weightage is 40 marks. The next section is for Applied Science. Carrying the same weightage, 40 marks. The third section, which is the bigger one from the above two will constitute the Engineering/Architecture part (as per your preference).
