The syllabus of UGC NET has been revised by the Commission including both the Papers. The upcoming UGC NET Exam Syllabus will be applicable from June 2019 session. So, now the candidates will face the updated syllabus (more than 40%) in exam. Paper 1 will be designed to test the aspirants teaching and research ability whereas Paper 2 will be based on subject that you choose. The syllabus of Paper 1 will be common to all subjects. If you want to score well in exam, then it is essential to make command over the Paper 1. Hope it help.

    Hello Shruti,
As you are the M.Sc. Botany student so, you can apply for both CSIR NET Exam and UGC NET. In UGC NET you can appear for Environmental Science and you can appear in CSIR NET under Life Science or Earth Science. CSIR NET is conducted separately for the Science students and UGC NET is conducted for Non- Science students. It will good if you choose the CSIR NET in Life Science subject. This is the subject which will connect you well with your Botany subject.
