Symbiosis National Aptitude Test, also known as SNAP, is a computer-based test which has three main sections, namely General English, Analytical & Logical Reasoning, and Quantitative, Data Interpretation & Data Sufficiency. The General English section mainly consists of reading comprehension and verbal reasoning and verbal ability. Analytical & Logical Reasoning tests logical and analytical skills. The aptitude of the candidate about quantitative analysis and data interpretation in the Quantitative, Data Interpretation & Data Sufficiency section. Each correct answer fetches 1 mark, and for every wrong attempt, 0.25 marks are deducted.

The SNAP syllabus will comprise tests in General English, Quantitative, Data Interpretation & Data Sufficiency, Analytical & Logical Reasoning and General Awareness. Quick problem solving is a must while managing your time for cracking the exam. The Quantitative and Data section of English needs improvement through reading and grammar. SIU does not accept any exam score other than SNAP for MBA admission. All domestic students, must appear for the SNAP exam if they wish to pursue MBA from SIBM or any of the 16 Symbiosis institutes. The SNAP exam is conducted in December. There are three sessions and questions are asked from- English, Reasoning and Quantitative Aptitude. The SNAP exam is of low difficulty level but requires practice for scoring high to meet the admission cut off.
There is usually not much change in the SNAP cut offs year on year. The average range of cut offs for MBA admission in SIU is 80-96 percentile. Check the table below for expected SNAP 2025 cut offs:
