    The syllabus changes every year and you need to download the same from the UNOM website i.e. http://www.unom.ac.in
    Some of the book books to prepare for this course- CRIMINOLOGY Explaining Crime and Its Context seventh edition

    I think the series of Forensic Science Handbooks edited by Richard Safferstein are the bibles of forensic science/ criminalistics. They cover almost all the disciplines with in forensic science.
    If you are looking specifically for a forensic DNA textbook, the textbooks by John Butler are the go to texts for that discipline.
