One may land the job of a forester or forest department officer in State Governments Forest Department. For this, one has to go through the selection process and examination though. Teaching standards of this course are really good. You have faculties with more than 15 years of experience and most of them are Ph.D holders. The placements too are good.

Overall everything is good. B.Sc (Forestry) is a 4 year full time undergraduate program to get the students acquainted with various facets of forestry and its related specializations. Faculties are well trained and they will guide you through out the course. So you can choose DBS definitely.

Having FRI (Forest Research Institute) near DBS makes visits very easier. Nearby forest area is also accessible for research based projects and experiments.
