    An MIS degree, however, has a different focus. MIS is an acronym for Management Information Systems and is also often confused with Masters in Information Systems. it is important to mention that unlike MBA, MIS is not a generic course and the nomenclature would vary from university to university. Most of the Masters courses in MIS are of 2 year duration but may vary from university to university. The curriculum is a more focussed information systems course with a strong undertone of how to manage them. Hence, it requires a crisper eligibility net.
