The tie-breaker rule for the Lovely Professional University National Entrance and Scholarship Test (LPU NEST) is designed to resolve cases where two or more candidates achieve the same score. The tie is resolved based on the following criteria, applied in sequence until the tie is broken:

    Subject-Specific Performance in LPU NEST

For specific streams, such as engineering or IT, the candidate scoring higher marks in the subject of priority (e.g., Mathematics or Physics) in the LPU NEST gets preference.

    Date of Birth (Age Factor)

If the tie still persists, the older candidate (based on date of birth) is given preference.

  • In case of a tie in LPUNEST scores, the tie-breaker rule is used to determine the final ranking. It prioritizes candidates with higher marks in subjects with greater weightage, followed by those with higher marks in subjects with lower weightage, then higher marks in the English language section, and finally those with higher marks in logical reasoning. This ensures a fair ranking process.

LPUNEST is an entrance and scholarship exam conducted by LPU for various undergraduate and postgraduate programs. Based on exam performance, candidates receive scores and ranks, which determine the scholarship amount they are eligible for.

In the event of a score tie in the LPUNEST, a tie-breaker rule is activated to determine the final ranking. This rule prioritizes candidates with higher marks in the subject with greater weightage, followed by those with higher marks in the subject with lower weightage, then those with higher marks in the English language section, and finally, those with higher marks in the logical reasoning section. This multi-criteria approach ensures a fair and transparent ranking process, providing a comprehensive evaluation of each candidate's performance.

The tie-breaker rule for LPU NEST (Lovely Professional University National Entrance and Scholarship Test) is used when two or more candidates secure the same marks. In such cases, the following tie-breaking criteria are generally applied:

    1. Higher Marks in a Specific Subject:
      • Preference is given based on marks obtained in specific subjects. For example, if the exam includes sections like Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology, the marks in these subjects may be considered in a specific order to break the tie.
    2. Age of the Candidate:
      • If the tie persists even after considering subject-wise marks, the candidate older in age is usually given

That is a very interesting question. Well, the tie-breaker rule is if two or more than two candidates will obtain the same marks then the sum of the best two subjects' marks will be considered and the candidate with the highest marks will be given preference. If the tie does not resolve then the candidate with the highest marks in the single subject will be given preference. In case of the tie remains then the older candidate will get the preference.

    hello,

The tie-breaker rule for the LPUNEST (Lovely Professional University National Entrance and Scholarship Test) comes into play when candidates achieve the same score. In such scenarios, the following criteria are used to determine the final ranking: Candidates with higher marks in the subject with greater weightage will be ranked higher. If the marks in the higher weightage subject are identical, the candidate with higher marks in the subject with lower weightage will be ranked higher. If the marks are still the same, the candidate with higher marks in the English language section will be ranked higher. Finally, if all else is equ
