It depends on the number of hours you are preparing. If you spend 4/5 hours per day for 5-6 months then you can easily score more than 90 percentile.

It depends upon one's aptitude. One who has a basic understanding of the different topics under maths & has decent vocabulary, can crack CAT in around 4 months provided he studies sincerely for say 4 hours everyday.
