The cutoff marks of TNEA for CSI Institute of Technology, tend to change every year depending on the number of students who applied for admission, popularity of the particular branch and the category of the student. Especially for courses that are in high demand such as computer science engineering and electronics communication engineering the cutoff rank would fall between 10000-30000. It is unclear why, for other branches, the threshold can be set at a level above 40,000. The cutoff may vary depending on the counselling facility and the general or category-wise management of reservations – sources TNEA.
