What is the total area of LPU?

A Campus-To Fall in LOVE with ! LPU campus is spread over 700+ acres. I get to know when I visited to enroll myself It has all the facilities in one campus, let it be the hospital, shopping mall, hotel, banks, ATM machines campus is one of the safest campuses maintained by over 400 full-time security professionals, most of whom are experienced ex-military personnel. I was surprised to SEE the diverse dining and shopping options available within the university campus. There is a state-of-the-art 8-storey mall which has shops of all possible needs, departmental stores, and gadget stores too. Diverse options of dining are also available within the campus, which range from traditional Indian sweets to modern coffee shops. Most importantly, it has various banks with more than 50 ATMs inside the campus; hence, students need not go outside for any kind of transactions. The campus of LPU is so vast that it has its own postal code and office. I would recommend you to visit this university once if you are planning to get admission for yourself or your anyone else. Thanks to e-rickshaw and local auto anyone can now commute easily inside the campus. It really is one of the largest and well built university in India.

I am an alumni of LPU and I know this for a fact that one of the largest universities of India yet, in addition, it is a university with the most diverse population from all states of India also from various countries of the globe. LPU has 35000+ students with 5000+ faculty members and 2500+ regulatory staff all over the different parts of the world with proper security and unity. LPU has 500+ stalls consists of shops, food courts, restaurant, food joints, and so on. A university-MALL and university Hotel are also working inside the campus to provide services to the needy. LPU has its own hospital too in which the doctors, nurses, and other medical staff work 24 hours a day. So, it wouldn't be wrong to say that LPU is in fact a city in its own right with its own huge and clean 600-acre campus with all the facilities.

It is huge. LPU is the largest university in India. As per their website the campus are is more than 600 acres. When I was studying in LPU then I would take me around 25 minds to reach from main GATE to my block-56 by walk. I had never seen even a single day in LPU when there is no construction going on. Trust me, LPU is so huge that it even one day is not enough to visit each and every block. LPU has one of the largest indoor stadium in India. Shanti Devi Mittal Indoor Stadium (10621 Sq m) is a cynosure for all sportspersons and it has multifarious facilities under one roof which include 6 Squash Courts, 1 Basketball Court, 3 Volleyball Courts, 12 Badminton Courts, 1 Shooting Range, 3 Swimming Pools, Weightlifting Room, Chess Room, Yoga Room, and Aerobics room, Taekwondo arena etc. LPU has UNIMALL in which you can find every shop for your daily needs. From banks to money transfer offices, from supermarket to laptop/mobile shops UNIMALL takes care of every need of student. LPU also has UNIHOSPITAL in which a great team of doctors and nursing staff is available 24x7 for any medical emergency. With huge infrastructure and world class teaching facilities, LPU is a mini CITY in itself.

Hi there, I am a proud alumnus of LPU. LPU has an infrastructure spread over 600+ acres of land. Apart from that LPU has 1200+ acres of land for agriculture, apiculture, and other research work. They do have 58+ Blocks here and they all are equipped with all amenities. They have the largest hostel. Fully Wi-Fi enabled campus. LPU is a tech-savvy university. They have used technology where required. Like turnstile gates for security measures. RFID entry and ID cards. Scanners for book returns in the library and so on. This all spread of 2.4km^2 of land and it has 4 sectors.

LPU isn't just spread over a huge area of 600+ acres and one of the largest universities of India yet, in addition, it is a university with the most diverse population from all states of India also from various countries of the globe. Studying here will make you feel like you are living in a city with all types of humans with their cultures of the world. LPU has 57 blocks (buildings) and each of them is 8 stories and 45 sub-blocks. I feel that campus is one of the most secured campuses maintained by 400+ full-time security guards, consisting of women guards for the girls' hostel as well and most of them are experienced, ex-military persons. LPU having 35000+ students with 5000+ faculty members and 2500+ regulatory staff all over the different parts of the world with proper security and unity. LPU has 500+ stalls consists of shops, food courts, restaurant, food joints, and so on. A university-MALL and university Hotel are also working inside the campus to provide services to the needy. LPU has its own hospital too in which the doctors, nurses, and other medical staff work 24 hours a day. When we talk about the NIRF ranks of Lovely professional university LPU is under the top 80 Universities in India. Among the top 90 engineering colleges in India, Among the top 50 business management schools in India, Among the top 30 Indian pharmacy colleges.

LPU has a massive campus. The university campus spreads over 600 acres (2.4 km2) in boundary on the outskirts of Jalandhar. The green environment is super conducive to learning. LPU hosts one of the largest set of laboratories. There is a Museum containing demonstration of Projects. There is Polyhouse Technology A climate controlled cultivation (Hi-tech farming) of horticultural crops for high yield and quality production. Multimedia Studio for Science, Research and InnovationLPU has three auditoriums - Baldev Raj Mittal Unipolis (seating capacity 20000+), Shanti Devi Mittal Auditorium (seating capacity 2500) and university Auditorium (seating capacity 350). These auditoriums are widely used to host the events of international and national repute. The University has 2 amphitheatres which are used to organize cultural events, competitions, plays and the like. These amphitheatres are also used by regional and national film makers as location for their movies and songs. There is Aviation Lab, cultural labs, university hospital, in house laundry. Infrastructure is compared with various Iims also. In houses 30k+ students from 29 states and 50+countries across the globe. *The campus of LPU is surrounded by trees and gardens that make the teaching and learning environment more comfortable. The pollution-free and healthy environment at the LPU campus is another major highlight of the campus. *The LPU central library is one of the major attractions of LPU. The library has Lacs of books in various subjects, and it helps students to clarify their subject related doubts. The library also has several magazines, journals, newspapers, etc. So that students spend their recreation time updating themselves with the latest happenings. *LPU has labs for all the required courses that impart practical knowledge to students. According to my experience, Hostels in LPU are more than secure with few restrictions on students which could help them become disciplined. Like day scholars are not allowed in hostels. And even hostels are not allowed to go in other hostels this is weird but for security purposes it is good. And for clarity, I have made this restriction in point have a look at below points. 1) 0% Ragging, 0% tolerance to any illegal substances like alcohol, drugs etc. Strict action used to be taken against the defaulters in case non-adherence of to such rules. 2) Students are not allowed to enter any other Hostel without permission of the authority. LPU has Turnstile gates at major entry/exit points as well as boom barriers for vehicles, thereby ensuring that every movement is monitored. 3) Boys are allowed to go outside the campus as per requirement but they need to return back & report to Hostel by 8 PM. 4) Special Permission will be extended to Boys student for a night out with the written permission of the Warden & Parents. 5) Any publicly offensive acts are clearly not allowed in the university and strict actions are taken against such act. Though there are many restrictions you can observe from the above-mentioned points for the hostellers but believe me at the end of the day you will find it necessary for all your security & safety. These restrictions would definitely make you learn how to lead your life in a controlled environment. Campus Security Surveillance : LPU campus is equipped with 6500+ CCTV surveillance a 24X7. Dear Nikki, LPU is spread over 600 acres of campus and 1200+ agriculture land for agriculture students, having 3000+ students and 3500+ faculty and staff. Many students come there across the world which made me feel like in a foreign country. Best Record of Placement: LPU has a good placement record for CSE students. Every year more than 500+ companies including national and multinational companies visit LPU for placement. A few of them are Microsoft, Amazon, Adobe, etc. In which are placed. The maximum package availed for CSE is 42 lacs. Per annum by Microsoft in 2020. Various Scholarships: I got maximum scholarship while studying there. LPU provides very good scholarships to bright students who have a good academic record, sports, or extracurricular activities achievement. LPU also helps students in the Education loan facility. Faculty Members: All faculty members are well qualified from IITs, NITs, Iims, and top-ranked universities all over the world.
