Several factors, such as the programme you are enrolled in, your nationality (Indian or foreign), and whether you are pursuing an undergraduate or postgraduate degree, might affect the total fees for a programme at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) .

For the B.Tech programme, the annual tuition cost ranged from INR 2,00,000 to INR 2,20,000. The total cost of fees might range from 8,00,000 to 9,00,000 in total. Hostel and other facilities were additonal.

For general category students, the cost of an IIT education normally ranges from Rs 8 to 10 lakh. The cost of a BTech degree at an IIT has increased dramatically for general category students over the last six years, from Rs 1 Lacs to Rs 3 Lacs annually. The expense of delivering a top-notch education, professor salaries, infrastructure, and research facilities might make the fees at IITs appear exorbitant.
