What is the training period for SSC CPO?

<p>The training syllabi for induction courses are confined to training institutions. The duration of training is usually of six to nine months. Indoor training involves imparting knowledge on various subjects under the law, police science, police rules, practical work, criminology, cybercrime and terrorism, human behavior, etc. The outdoor module trains the officers in several fields- physical exercise and drills, vehicle driving, handling of arms and weapons, and practice firing. Special emphasis is given to fitness and unarmed combat. Candidates selected through SSC CPO exam are appointed to the post of&nbsp;Sub Inspector with either the Delhi Police, the CAPF or as Assistant Sub Inspector in CISF. The CAPF is a Paramilitary force also known as the Central Armed Police Forces. It is not directly a wing of the Military and it comes under the Home Ministry.</p><p>The CAPF includes the following forces:</p><ul><li>BSF (Border Security Force)</li><li>Protecting the border between India &amp; Pakistan</li><li>Promoting the sense of security in the citizens of India</li><li>Prevent crimes across the border and illegal refugees</li><li>CRPF (Central Reserve Police Force)</li><li>Responsible for controlling riots &amp; Naxalites.</li><li>ITBP (Indo-Tibetan Border Police)</li><li>Protecting the border between India &amp; China (from Ladakh to Arunachal Pradesh)</li><li>Providing security at northern borders that are close to Pakistan and China</li><li>Preventing the violation of border</li><li>Preventing smuggling, anti-national activities and illegal immigration across the border.</li><li>SSB (Seema Suraksha Bal)</li><li>Protecting Indo &ndash; Nepal and Indo &ndash; Bhutan borders</li><li>Preventing cross-border crimes, smuggling, and other anti-national activities</li><li>CISF (Central Industrial Security Force)</li><li>Providing security to various government establishments, PSU and other state-owned infrastructures</li></ul><p>Sub Inspector of Delhi Police: Delhi Police Sub-inspector is responsible for maintaining law and order.</p><p>Border Security Force</p><ul><li>Protects the border between India &amp; Pakistan.</li><li>Promotes a sense of security among the citizens.</li><li>Prevents trans-border crimes and assists in the control of refugees</li></ul><p>Central Reserve Police Force</p><ul><li>CRPF is responsible for controlling riots &amp; Naxalites.</li></ul><p>Indo-Tibetan Border Police</p><ul><li>Protects the border between India &amp; China (from Ladakh to Arunachal Pradesh)</li><li>Promotes a sense of security among citizens by providing security at northern borders.</li><li>Prevents the violation of the border.</li><li>Prevents trans-border smuggling, anti-national activities and illegal immigration.</li></ul><p>Seema Suraksha Bal</p><ul><li>Protects Indo &ndash; Nepal and Indo &ndash; Bhutan borders.</li><li>Prevents cross-border crimes, smuggling and anti-national activities.</li></ul><p>Central Industrial Security Force</p><ul><li>Provide security to various PSUs and other important infrastructures.</li><li>Protects Government infrastructure projects and industrial units.</li><li>Protecting the Government infrastructure projects and industrial units</li><li>Sub-Inspector in Delhi Police is responsible for maintaining law and order in Delh</li></ul>
