The training period for a newly-recruited Probationary Officer (PO) typically lasts for six months. This period includes a classroom-based training programme as well as on-the-job training. During this time, the PO learn about various aspects of banking, including banking laws and regulations, financial management, and customer service. After training, they are confirmed to the job.

The probationary period and induction training are the two primary parts of SBI Clerk training. For SBI Clerks, the two-week induction and the six-month probationary period are extended. Within this time, the recently selected candidates are required to complete the e-lessons that have been advised by the bank.

The two main components of SBI Clerk training are the probationary period and induction training. The two-week induction and 6-month probationary period are lengthened for SBI Clerks. The recently chosen candidates must finish the e-lessons that the bank has recommended within this time.
