The University of Copenhagen was founded in 1479 and consisted of four faculties: Theology, Law, Medicine and Philosophy. It is the oldest university in Denmark and the second-the oldest in Scandinavia. It is also the largest higher education institution in Denmark. University of Copenhagen is ranked at 42 in Best Global Universities and 9th in Best Global Universities in Europe.
