Dear Sambid, You must have the basic education to be eligible for higher studies hence the 10th boards . Competitive exams are required to shortlist the best students and to check if the student has or will have the ability to bear the program rigour abroad. Having 90% and still taking SAT indicate

Dear Sambid, Universities are aware of the education system in India and also the grading system. So you need not worry at all. If you check a university website carefully you will see they do mention these. 80% and above ia good enough. Best Wishes
