What is the use of taking LEET exam?

I thought of taking LEET exam. Now I am studying Diploma. Can you tell me, If I passed what will be the benefits of it?

    The LEET is an entrance examination conducted for candidates seeking direct admission to the second year of engineering programs offered by various government and private engineering colleges. Candidates must have a Diploma in any branch of engineering from an AICTE-recognised university. The minimum aggregate score in the qualifying exam must be 60 percent or an equivalent CGPA. For the Reserve category (SC/ST) candidates must have scored a minimum of 50 to 55 percent for different courses in the qualifying exam.
