The validity of Duolingo English Test score is 2 years. For example, if you received your test score on January 01, 2024 then this score card will be valid till January 01, 2026. After two years, you won't be able to share your scorecard to any university or other third parties.

Duolingo is an examination just like IELTS to test the English proficiency of non native English Speaking students / employees abroad.
The validity of this examination result is for 2 years. Many reputed University and colleges accept this examination's result.
Candidates recieve the result in the form of certificates, which can be shared to anyone worldwide.
After the certificate is expired, i.e. the time period has ended, he/she will see 'expired ' on the Duolingo website and can renew it by appearing in the examination again. The examination duration lasts for one hour.

Once you obtain your Duolingo English Test score, the same will remain valid for a period of two years. This is standard, most high stakes tests have a two year validity period. Your expired result will still be visible on your homepage after two years but you won't be able to share it or see its certificate. Please note that the test score's validity may also depend on the specific requirements which a university would have set. It may be possible that a few institutions accept old scores, whereas some may need you to be holding current scores.
