The MAHA TET exam is valid for life. Candidates who clear the MAHA TET exam are awarded the eligibility certificates. The MAHA TET Certificate holds the lifetime validity. However, the MAHA TET certificate was valid for only 7 years earlier. The National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) extended the validity of the State TET and CTET certificates to lifetime in the year 2020.

The Maharashtra Teacher Eligibility Test (MAHA) certificate now has a lifelong period of validity. As a result, candidates can apply for teaching employment in Maharashtra's government schools at any point in the future after passing the test and receiving their credentials, which is valid for no longer. As a result of this modification, candidates no longer have to be concerned about requalifying or renewing their certifications after a certain amount of time.
