    The WBCS Prelims Syllabus for the West Bengal Civil Services exam includes eight subjects/topics, each carrying 25 marks, with a total of 200 Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs) asked in the exam. The topics covered in the WBCS Prelims Syllabus are:

    • English Composition
    • General Science
    • Current Events of National and International Importance
    • History of India (Ancient, Medieval, Modern)
    • Geography of India with special reference to West Bengal
    • Indian Polity and Economy
    • Indian National Movement
    • General Mental Ability

    The WBCS prelims exam is expected to be conducted in July 2024.
