First of all, civil service is a responsibility for us. There is nothing easier or harder. We should be dedicated towards our work, whatever it is. For your answer, IFS deals with external affairs of country. Ambassador and high commission era, etc. IAS deals with internal administration of the country. -
IFS officer deals with the external affairs which includes diplomatic relations, trades, etc. Nothing is easy as both have lot of responsibility, but IAS is difficult to get in comparison to ifs in UPSC result cutoff. IAS is the link between the government and people. So, in one way, we can say IAS has more work to do as they have to maintain internal affairs.
