    Hello,
    There is separate admission procedure for students from states other than Tamil Nadu (Tamil Nadu). There will be an open advertisement in newspapers (may be not all over India)or you can constantly check the Anna University website where the admission notices start to display from March/April for the consequent year. You can apply online through the web portals once they are made available. Selection is mainly through single-window counselling system based on your High school (I. e. 12th or junior college according to your state)marks when studying under 10+2 system in India.     TNEA stands for Tamil Nadu engineering admissions. It is a single window counseling program conducted by Anna University to which many colleges are affiliated.
    You are eligible to apply for TNEA and the admission is based on your board exam marks only. With respect to your marks, you will be allotted colleges.
    You may refer : www.annauniv.edu and www.tnea.ac.in for more updates.
    For other private universities, you need not enroll for this.
