<p>ICFAI University, Sikkim is a professionally managed university that offers full-time campus programs and distance learning programs in management, information technology, hospitality and tourism management, Science and technology, law, and other areas. The university is unique in the country, providing updated education linked to business reality and case studies experience. It has been established under Section 4 (2) of the Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts of Sikkim Act 2004 (Act 9 of 2004) passed by Legislative Assembly of Sikkim. The university is empowered by UGC for award of degrees under Section 22 of UGC Act 1956. The campus has various facilities such as classrooms, faculty rooms, meeting rooms, lecture halls, cafeteria, library, computer centre, administrative block, and laboratories. Gangtok, the capital of Sikkim, is at the center of Sikkim's tourism industry, and the university is located in Sichey, Gangtok.</p>
