The XH, XL, and XE in the GATE 2026 exam stands for the following -

XH - Humanities and Social Sciences
XL - Life Sciences
XE - Engineering Sciences

The GATE pattern for the above papers are different. Candidates must check the GATE 2026 information brochure to know more about the subjects.
