What is your opinion on doing MBA after completing Master's degree?

First work and then see what your end goals are, how you fit into the company, etc. Make a quick assessment of how fast do you think you can grow or switch jobs. Then also consider whether other degrees such as part time MBA at good schools will help you. They do! I have a friend who did an MS in operations research from UT Austin, joined Dell and worked there for 4 years. He was doing well and didn't want to go back to school full time so he started a weekend MBA at Booth in Chicago. This would depend on your interest areas and career aspirations. In case you intend to pursue a career in Technical / research / academics area then you can start a career in the area of your specialization. You could also purse an M.Phil/ Ph.D. in the said area. However if you want to move into general management the MBA is better. MBA can help you sharpen your skills in business management and thus assist you on the professional career front. However keeping you interest areas in mind you need to decide what you need to do from a career perspective. The chances of doing well in a career of one's interest areas are much higher.
