What is your review of CSVTU? Is it very tough to score a gap of more than 9.0 in its exams?

Lets know a little about Chhattisgarh Swami Vivekanand Technical University (CSVTU) before reviewing it. This public state university is located in Bhilai, Chhattisgarh and was established in 2005. It is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC). Currently, the colleges affiliated with CSVTU include 44 Engineering Colleges, 40 Polytechnics, 1 Architecture institution and 11 Pharmacy colleges. CSVTU is among the renowned educational institutes of the state and has received the Emerging Technological University of the Year Award in the World Management Congress, and Higher Education and Development Summit. This prestigious award was given to the institute as they have adopted various reformative measures. There are seven different teaching departments at Chhattisgarh Swami Vivekanand Technical University which include Energy and Environmental Engineering, Microelectronics and VLSI, Environmental and Water Resources Engineering, Urban Planning, Structural Engineering, Biomedical Engineering and Bio-Informatics and Steel Technology. Between these teaching departments, the institute collectively offers more than 40 courses at UG, PG and doctoral levels. BTech, BArch and MTech are the flagship programs offered by Chhattisgarh Swami Vivekanand Technical University. CSVTU can be reviewed on the basis of certain crucial parameters such as placements, pedagogy, courses offered by the varsity and GPA scores to see if it should be considered a good pick by students. Placements at Chhattisgarh Swami Vivekanand Technical University: The Training and Placement Cell at the Chhattisgarh Swami Vivekanand Technical University manages all the placement-related activities. While central placements are conducted at CSVTU, the respective affiliated institutes also conduct CSVTU Bhilai placements. Although the official placement statistics have not been made available on the official website of Chhattisgarh Swami Vivekanand Technical University, a good number of companies have recruited students from this university. Students of CSVTU also get internship opportunities via its Training & Placement Cell. Courses Offered at Chhattisgarh Swami Vivekanand Technical University: Chhattisgarh Swami Vivekanand Technical University offers various courses at UG, PG and doctoral levels across several streams. These streams include Engineering, Architecture & Planning, Pharmacy, Business Management Studies, and IT & Software, among others. It is a good college for students who are interested in these upcoming streams. CSTVU offers various courses at the UG level such as BE, Diploma in Engineering (Polytechnic), Diploma in Engineering (Polytechnic) in collaboration with NITTR, BVoc, DVoc, BPharm, DPharm and a few other interesting Diploma courses. There are three courses at the PG level: MTech, MBA and MCA. While the duration of most UG courses is between 3-5 years, the PG courses are for two years. The flagship course at CSVTU is the BTech programme which is offered across 17 specializations and is of four years. Recently four new programmes at the UG level and the Diploma level have been introduced by CSVTU. These courses are BTech (Hons) in CSE-Data Science and BTech (Hons) in CSE-AI along with diploma programmes in two specializations: Industrial Safety and Mining Engineering and Fire Safety. Pedagogy and Faculty at Chhattisgarh Swami Vivekanand Technical University: Lets understand this by answering the question if it is possible to get a 9.0 GPA at CSVTU. Going by students reviews and past results, we can say that it is not that difficult to secure a 9.0 GPA at the varsity. It is a good university which is trying to change its pedagogy style and systems. Having said that, the university needs to work on certain aspects such as the syllabus and the faculty. Only a few teaching staff at CSVTU are professors and the rest of the faculty comprises only associate professors or assistant professors. The institute has around 4050 good qualified professors with 80% of them in BIT Durg. Because of this, when students appear for ESE, the answer copies are sent to other colleges to be checked, reducing the chances of getting a good GPA. However, CSVTU provides a semester performance index (SPI) and cumulative performance index (CPI) which is the average of each semester. If you get more than net 80-85% in each semester, it may be possible to pass the 9.0 GPA hurdle at CSVTU. It is fairly easy to get a GPA between 6.5-7.5 but crossing the 9.0 GPA mark requires a little extra effort. Hard work and dedication is the key to getting a consistently good score, which can result in a good GPA. Another tip for getting a good GPA at C SVTU is to go through the papers of the last few years since most of the time the questions are repeated. You can also work towards increasing your internals through high attendance, CT marks, practical marks, TAs etc. Higher internals can improve your chances of getting a higher GPA.
