B.Sc Nautical Science graduates are employed in navigation and command of ship roles. Engineering jobs in merchant navy is mostly filled by marine engineers who have done B.Tech marine engineering or have graduate Diploma in marine engineering after B.Tech mechanical or electrical engineering.
