A biotechnologist students can explore job options in the following fields: Drug and pharmaceutical research, Public funded laboratories, Chemicals, Environment control, Waste management, Energy and Food processing industries. Some of the major companies are:- 1) Dabur India 2) Nestle India. 3) Parle. 4) ITC. 5) Hindustan Unilever. 6) Sudha milk industry. 7) Amul India 8) Rollick ice-cream. 9) Cadbury India. 10) Cipla pharma. 11) Galixo. 12) Ranbaxy etc. While government institutes and organizations such as Department of Biotechnology (DBT), several agriculture, dairy, and horticulture institutes may offer job opportunities to biotechnology professionals and here also one can get a good salary ranging between Rs. 12,000- Rs. 20,000 per month to an entry-level postgraduate.
