What kind of problems will I face if I do B.Sc. Agriculture from a private college during studies and after graduation?

First of all the Agriculture course is based on practical knowledge. If you are thinking that you will gain knowledge in these 4 years, then you are highly mistaken. Because Bookish knowledge will never help you once you start working in the field. Indian agriculture education system is still teaching some rough techniques which are not been practiced in the field because most of the chemicals are banned in the field. Agriculture colleges should emphasize actual practical knowledge rather than assignments. If you want to gain actual field knowledge, I would suggest you please go to the industrial training in agriculture companies during college vacations or semester break. This will be help you to learn practical knowledge. Exams, assignments, reports, viva, practical etc. Are important but practical knowledge are more important than bookish knowledge. Sorry may be I am disappointing you but this is the real scenario.

Let me make you one thing clear that if you are thinking that you will gain agricultural knowledge in these 4 years, then you are highly mistaken. Our agriculture education system is still teaching some primitive techniques which are not been practiced on field. Many chemicals are taught in colleges as control measure on field crops but almost 50% of them are banned. Bookish agriculture knowledge will never help you once you start working on field. Our agriculture institutions, colleges should lay emphasis on actual practical knowledge rather than assignments. In order to gain actual field knowledge I would suggest you to go for actual trainings in agriculture companies during your holidays. This will be helpful as you will learn theory as well as practical knowledge. Exams, assignments, reports, viva, practical rest all remains same as it is in any other field or any other college. I am not disappointing you but just informing you about real scenario But if you have a keen interest you should surely go ahead and follow your passion.
