Applicants are required to have an engineering degree or a similar quantitative degree (major or minor) that covers linear algebra and differential calculus of many variables. Applicants are also expected to have completed both MATH 51 Linear Algebra, Multivariable Calculus, and Modern Applications, or an equivalent multivariable differential calculus and linear algebra course (s), and CS 106A Programming Methodology or an equivalent general programming course, before beginning graduate study.
