What kind of questions are asked in IIM interviews?

Freshers are normally asked questions revolving around the following broad topics: Academics: You should revise some main concepts of your undergrad stream. There are less chances that the interviewer is of the same stream that you are, so he or she will normally ask broad general questions on your academic stream, like "What are the new developments going on Jon the field" and so on. But sometimes they may ask questions in detail as well. B.Tech Project or Internships: You should be very thorough about your main projects and internships. They tend to ask in detail what work you had done, because that shows whether you did the project seriously or not. General Awareness: You should be aware of the happenings around you. Read the newspapers daily, and try to have an opinion on various topics. And if something major has happened in your home town or the city where you studied, they might ask you about that. Hobbies: The panelists will definitely question you about your hobbies and extracurricular activities. They want to see whether you are an all-rounder or not. Be sure to exhibit passion while talking about your hobbies. Why MBA and personality questions: "Why MBA? " is a very common and important question. There might be other personality questions as well, like your leadership experiences, your strengths, weaknesses and so on.
