Hi Shanmugaperumal,
The main difference is that the CAT score is one of the mandatory requirement to study in Indian top B-schools like IIMs. However, if you are planning to study abroad, the GMAT score is required and not CAT. First your planning must be clear and you need to evaluate which exam is more appropriate for you. Both the tests have different test formats, score validity, fees, etc. GMAT is one of the toughest exams and by far more competitive than CAT as it adds a global perspective.
