The Athletics at University of California Los Angeles has played a major role in the mission to have well-rounded education both in and out of the classroom. The first school to win the 100 National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), the university has ranked second in the US. The main indoor arena at the university is known as the Pauley Pavilion which has around 13,800 Basketball, Volleyball and Gymnastic events.
