What kind of work do ECE students do?

ECE students can have careers in industries like consumer electronics manufacturing organisation, Automotive, Telecommunication & IT industries, Health care equipment manufacturing, Mobile communication (2G, 3G, and 4G), Internet technologies, Power Electronics, and other industries like steel, petroleum and chemical etc. It is predicted that the jobs for engineers will grow by 7% from 2016 to 2026. See an EC engineer does all the thing that is related to the manufacturing and repairing of the products involved in the communication and for the power generation and supply.

Some major core Telecom related jobs: Network Engineer-Data (working on switches, routers, etc. ) Telecom /Voice Engineer (hands-on PBX, Interactive Voice Response Implementation and many more Voice networking products). Data security (shall possibly work on Firewalls, Anti-Malware, etc. ). Cyber Security (responsibilities shall include application audits, possible threats, generating reports as per customer requirements). Server Administrator (shall play around with physical servers & virtualized platforms maintenance, troubleshooting and new installs) Wireless security/infrastructure/ architecture. Satellite and Radar based profile in organizations like ISRO, DRDO, etc. VLSI or Electronics related jobs in PSU's like BARC and so on Solution Architect/Consultant: He/she will be mainly responsible for Solution designing with varied technologies on the respective domain as per customer requirements. Cloud Technology: Integrating the existing data on the cloud, securing cloud data and similar portfolios. Sales: Supporting sales of the respective technical product of the company. Implementation/ Project/ Support Engineer for one or more of the above products.
