What kind of work do people do after doing MBA in finance or MBA in strategy?

As far as I know, strategies are made by top management then what is the use of MBA in strategy? What would be the job profile and work routine after MBA in strategy and how is it different from MBA in finance?

If we talk about MBA with Strategy as majors or electives, the people are expected to :
    1. Formulate business plan covering marketing, human resource, operation and financial plan.
    2. Use their understanding of state of the art of service management thinking and to use scientific tools in decision making.
    3. To create, capture, and maintain value. Coordinate different functional areas, resources, and systems inside a company and align them with the external environment to enhance overall performance.

Dear Muskan, LPU is quite eminent for the MBA. You can do MBA in different streams like Financial markets, International Business, Tourism and hospitality, Banking and insurance, E-Commerce, Fintect, Business Analytics, etc. So you can choose any of the above-revealed streams according to your area of interest. Finance- Investment Banker, Analyst, Portfolio Manager, Equity Research, etc. Strategy is not a specialisation in MBA, it is just a function in organizations where business is strategized as to what needs to be done in short and long terms.

If you get hired in an IT company then you may be posted in projects where you have to work with software like SAP. For finance, in banking industry you can get roles like portfolio manager, credit officer, etc. In other industries, you may get corporate finance or public accounting. The kind of role provided will be discussed during placements.

MBA Finance students generally get absorbed as Business Analysts. They are paid more then other graduates comparatively. This is the scenario in Doon Business School, Dehradun.
