What kind of work experience do these top B-Schools of India like IIM's and XLRI's look for? I mean, how do they mark it?

I mean if someone is working as a waiter in a hotel for two years after completing hotel management as graduation and then he gives CAT examination and scores 99, or someone is working as a receptionist or as a BPO at a junior employee level. Could that person be marked for work exp. in interviews?

To appear for CAT it is not necessary to have prior work experience. Though the application asks for work experience details, it is not important to appear for the exam. There is no mandatory CAT work experience criteria. I wish you all the very the best in your successful endeavors.
