What language is required for TU Chemnitz?

<p>Both German and English language proficiency is needed to study at Chemnitz University of Technology. As a proof of German language proficiency, the test certificates that are accepted are of <strong>DSH, TestDAF</strong>, etc. In the case of English language proficiency (B2 level) for English-taught programs, IELTS / TOEFL scores are accepted.</p><p><strong>German Proficiency: </strong>At the time of applying for a programme offered in the English language, the applicants are required to show a German language proficiency at the<strong> A1 level.</strong> Until the end of their third study term, the applicants have to submit the German language proof of <strong>A2 level</strong></p><p><strong>Courses for which German language proficiency is required:</strong></p><ul><li>Master English Studies</li><li>Master Embedded Systems</li><li>Master Information and Communication Systems</li><li>Master Micro and Nano Systems</li></ul><p><strong>For the following programs, German language proficiency is not needed:</strong></p><ul><li>Master Web Engineering</li><li>Master Automotive Software Engineering</li><li>Master Advanced Manufacturing</li><li>Master Advanced Functional Materials</li><li>Master Advanced and Computational Mathematics</li></ul>
