What level of German language is required to pursue m.s in Germany?

There are few universities which are offering m.s courses in English but what about those universities which are not . what level of German language is required (basic,intermediate, advanced) ?

It is not mandatory to know German to study MS in German Universities. But it is a necessity. You may chose universities conducting MS for international students. You will require german language knowledge for day to day interaction with locals. If medium of instructions in MS is German you need Adv
