    IIT Dharwad offers M.Tech in two specialisations namely Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering The students pursuing M.Tech can upgrade their course to a PhD after completing two years. Admission to this programme is dependent on the scores achieved in the GATE exam followed by COAP Counselling.
