What makes LPU as the best University?

Being an alumni of LPU, Lovely Professional University is the largest single-campus university in India, with more than 30,000 students, over 4000 faculty members and staff, offering more than 300 programmes. Talking about Lovely Professional University, I was a student of MBA here in LPU. I will summarize you some of the key points of LPU - 1) LPU is having industrial oriented curriculum as per industry demand. 2) International exposure - students from all over the India plus International students are also studying here. 3) Placements - The university has been ranked high by outer agencies also with regard to placements of students. Around 550+ companies visit every year for campus-recruitment of students from LPU. LPU becomes the favourite landing place for bulk recruiters like Cognizant Technology Solutions, Tech Mahindra, Capgemini, Amazon, Bosch Engineering, Meditab and many more 4) PEP classes - PEP classes start right away from the first semester itself in form of Communication Skills and continue till the final semester that prepare you for placement drives. 5) Innovative and productive environment, more emphasize on practical sessions with the benefit of having ragging free campus. 6) You will get an online system I. e UMS ( university management system), in which you can access all the details like your time table, fee status, attendance and result record, exam, schedules and many more. LPU is having experienced, specialised and well qualified faculty members. 70+ faculty / staff members have been from foreign countries, faculty from IIT, IIM and IIIT as LPU concerned about the betterment of the students and long term growth of our University. At present there are around 70 faculty members from IIT, Iims, IIITs etc. 9)Tons of events - May it be Cultural, Sports or Academic. There are numerous events held in the University campus itself. If you like to dance/sing/act then you will have numerous cultural events, You get a handful of opportunities if you are sports guy. Let it be football, cricket, basketball anything. You will get many-many tournaments in every case. If you are a computer geek, you like coding and all that technological stuff. 10) Lovely Professional University has become one of the three Indian universities to have secured a place in the Top 200 in the World in Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings 2021. LPU is considered to be the best university rated as the best B-School in the country by almost every agency, LPU truly stands up to its reputation. Coming back into the track LPU has been into the NIRF ranking since 2018. LPU is also the only private university of Punjab to be among the top 100 in NIRF 2020. Adding to it in NIRF Ranking, LPU School of Pharmacy has been ranked at #29; Management #49; and Engineering at #87. Also, the Outlook has put up LPU (#22) before its position of 31st, but at the same time, it has also improved its place in Economic Times and Outlook-ICARE rank charts. LPU has been ranked into the top 60 B schools all over India by THE WEEK magazine. It has been ranked (#60) by THE WEEK. Also, LPU has been ranked by the Business Today magazine in the top B-Schools of India. It has been ranked (#83). The improvement shown by the LPU is huge in terms of standards and teaching. This improvement will surely help LPU to surpass all its nearby competitors. The rankings produced by all the reputed organizations are good to the mark but still, it must be improved as the years pass on.

There are many parameters are concerned which make a particular University the BEST. Hi Sameeksha, I think ranking is an official announcement where a university stands. When we compare the rankings of the universities we come to know which is better. Rankings are done on the basis of Academic Reputation, Employer Reputation, Faculty/Student Ratio, Citations per faculty, International Faculty Ratio, International Student Ratio. The LPU has many feather in its camps. Juts have a look. The biggest achievement of Lovely Professional University is that it was ranked among the top 200 universities of the world in The Times Higher Education Impact Rankings 2021. Since its inception, its the first time Lovely Professional University was ever engaged in the rankings and was ranked second-the highest among Indian varsities. Only three Indian varsities made it to the Top 200 varsities in the rankings this year. Apart from that LPU has improved its rankings in NIRF too. LPU adopts new technologies faster than anyone, they update their curriculum even after each semester by taking feedback from the students and also to meet the latest standards. LPU focuses on practical knowledge a lot, they have high tech labs and dedicated MAC labs for iOS development, each core subject has a different practical subject for it. They give you a very good amount of training before you go into campus placements. Try not to miss those classes. They will help you in getting better placements. After all, all we need is a decent place with good exposure. Certifications from industries, Hackathons and workshops, Guest lectures, Regular educational trips, Real life live projects, Community projects etc. All are essential and integral parts of the curriculum.
