In India there are better job prospects for CS.
But if you are the kind of person who likes Physics and feel happy in the company of machines and love hardcore engineering, then Mechanical is the field for you. But be aware that not many engineering colleges in India have amazing labs and workshops for Mechanical. So before opting for any college, do check out the facilities online.

I will suggest you for mechanical engineering. If you have good numerical solving capacity and imagination, you can go for mechanical because after mechanical engineering, you have lots of scope in government as well as private sector.

    Hello Jadav,
Both of these branches have different and unique essence. The answer totally depends upon your interest, capability, talent, grasping power and inclination.
If you are kind of guy who is good with not just computers but with its soul, i.e., hardware, software and most importantly programming languages (C, C+, VB, .NET, Java, etc.), and you don't get frustrated with complications of these, instead enjoy dealing with them, then, Computer Science is the branch for you.
If you are the kind of guy who gets fascinated by the mechanics of everything that you see in your day to day life, say for example, the way your bike behaves in

Computer Science and Engineering is much better than mechanical engineering in terms of scope, but don't take your decision just on the basis of scope, do consider your interest as well.

  • Both are best with respect to themselves, it always depends on your decision whether to choose mechanical or computer engineering. If you want to earn early and need to make more money than computer engineering will be an easy path. But if you have interest in practical applications of physics and models and if you think you like innovation related to mechanical then choose it.

Both the branches are good and the selection depends on the interest. As the current scenario indicates computer engineering is more valuable. I’d suggest visiting UEM Jaipur website to know more information on specialization:
