What options do I have as I want to make my career in finance field?

I am a 2nd-year mechanical engineering student, but I want to discontinue my B.Tech as I have a keen interest in the financial market. I have done Diploma in mechanical engineering.

You have to complete your engineering course with above 50% after that you can pursue financial marketing in MBA. With engineering you can start your preparation for CAT, MAT, etc. by joining MBA coaching.

Yes, continue your B.Tech after completing your B.Tech. Take CAT exam and pursue MBA or MCA.

Try completing your BE degree along with brushing up your knowledge in financial markets and then take MBA in finance.

Doing engineering does not necessarily mean that you have to work in that particular sector. It is just a graduation course and B.Tech especially offers a wide variety of careers to choose after its completion. If you are interested in financial markets you could probably do Masters in that field. As per my suggestion, I think you should complete your graduation and then go ahead with financial markets for further studies.
