Hi, You can take up courses of animation, visual effects graphic designing, as they will give you a wider perspective, if you are looking to go with a digital media houses. They will not only improve your aesthetic sense, but will help you reach a wider audience for your work. You can choose different fields like: 1. Camera: You can learn film making courses that will help you enhance and add to your technical camera and video editing skills. 2. Sound: You can take up courses to learn sound editing techniques, which can also act as a boost to your editing skills. Video and sound go hand in hand. A movie though can be a great edit, but a bad sound edit can ruin the quality completely. 3. VFX/animations: I think this is the best option for anyone who is trying to pursue their career in video editing field. They will add to your work folio. 4. DI colorist: Color grading is a new opportunity to look ahead and you can pursue it separately. Though it sounds like it is same as video edit, but there is a set of completely different people who are doing it independently than just video editing. Apart from FCP, these software go hand in hand in any editing process that you can learn Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere Pro, Avid Pro Tools, Adobe Flash, Adobe After Effects, Davinci resolve Sony forge.
