Money is a secondary factor, not a primary one and if money is such a big deal for you then why did you opt for science stream in the first place? According to me, with that type of mindset, you may get a high package, but there will be a time when you will be unsatisfied with your job because you were in it for money, not because of your interest.
You can make a good amount of money in other fields too.

Your salary after completing B.Tech. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) doesn't depend only on your percentage or category, but mainly on your skills, experience, and the company you join.
However, maintaining at least 70–75% throughout your degree can help you qualify for top placements and higher salary packages.
Focus on learning core technical skills, doing internships, and gaining hands-on project experience.
At universities like LPU, students with strong performance and skills have secured salaries of ₹70,000 per month or even more in reputed companies.

This requirement is standardized across all engineering branches, and there is no relaxation for OBC students; only specific groups like North-East region candidates and wards of defense personnel or Kashmiri migrants receive a 5% concession.

You can fulfill this eligibility by taking LPUNEST, JEE Main, or CUET, in addition to your board results—it's mandatory to qualify

Percentage is not the criteria for getting a good salary. You should possess good core knowledge plus perform exceptionally well during the placement sessions.
  • Shushma, it's not the percentage that is going to decide what salary you would be offered or you would get. It would be based on what you know, how you do in interview and the company/ organisation you would be applying in.
