What placement opportunities are given to students after a law course from Directorate of Distance Education(Kurukshetra University)Haryana?

Hi there, Well, the placements opportunities after a law course from Directorate of Distance Education (Kurukshetra University) Haryana would always be nil as the degree that you get after the completion of course would not be recognised by Bar council and thus you can’t have any practical implications of Your degree and it would also get difficult in making a career in law. Also, the law degree would not make you eligible even for judicial services exams and thus would be a degree on paper only. Also, it would not make you eligible as a legal expert even. So, you won’t get any placements as such here. So, I would advise you for better career and job prospects. Kindly go for a regular LLB degree from a UGC recognised institute as that would help you get better placements and even better quality of legal education.

For this question, I had to do a lot of research and to be honest, I really didn’t find anything much relevant for this question. There are no placement opportunities available for the students taking admissions in distance law colleges. However the career opportunities available after a regular college degree are available even after the distance law programme. For example- Cracking judiciary level exams, government jobs available for law officers, legal advisors in banks or MNCs, litigation or even going purely into the Corporate sector. I would like to place my point of view in this answer. I feel and I have seen at many places that regular students are given preference over distant colleges students. Also one should option for classroom studies when it comes to law as we get to learn a lot through open discussions, debates, presentations, etc. So, I honestly feel to get better placement or better career opportunities in future, a regular college is necessary as Law is a professional degree and hence it should also be studied professionally. But, all this is just my point of view. So, you don't need to be influenced, it is just for your help as I am telling you as to what I have heard or seen. Choosing one of them is totally your call.
