7 years agoIndustrial Design Centre was established in Mumbai IIT in 1969. It was very visionary decision to have this along with premier IIT. It was established primarily to encourage the study of industrial design which is of vital importance for a country on the path of industrialisation. Presently, this department offers different courses and also facilities for research also. The biggest advantage for this school of design is its co-location with IIT.
