What placement opportunities are given to the students in India after completing BA (Hons) journalism from Lady Shri Ram College for Women?

Hi, A few things about LSR: - LSR has a pretty good faculty for journalism and an even better peer group. Good surroundings and an atmosphere you can gain in. - The kind of activities happening in college throughout the year in terms of guest lectures, academic meets, etc. You gain immense exposure. - As pointed out by someone else, we do have a lot of media houses here in Delhi and I would like to add something one of my friends from journalism looking for an internship once told me. - You suddenly get a look of awe at these places when you mention you're from LSR'. You do stand a chance at deriving benefits from the brand - people assume you are phenomenal. - Regarding placements: The number of media houses or companies centered around journo kids is an area constantly being improved upon and I'm hopeful that it would reach a good number by the time you enter your final year (that is, if you choose and get LSR). There are several top notch consulting firms and firms for policy research that come for placements and there usually is no bar on the departments that can sit for these. This gives you a lot of flexibility as to what field you want to work in.

You can go for writing, get job in media, press or you can even start with your own business related to mass communication or something related to journalism.
