Hi there, the interview conducted at the time of admission for the Ph.D. students is basically done to have an insight of what the student intends to do during research. The student faces the interview board with an abstract and a research proposal and confirms his interest in the subject and assures that his research will be innovative. If the board finds these answers satisfactory the aspirant is given admission in Ph.D.

After clearing LPU NEST, the candidate will be evaluated for research aptitude; innovativeness / feasibility of topic / area of research, concept clarity in the respective discipline and attitude. For the interview you need to prepare the following topics:- communication skills, fluency of speech, grammatically correct, capacity to elaborate, clarity of thought career orientation, aspirations and goals, clarity of goals, confidence, leadership and initiative general awareness.

Hello!The Ph.D. interview is primarily done to gain insight into the student's plans for their study throughout the admissions process. The student proves his interest in the topic and guarantees that his research will be original when he stands before the interview panel with an abstract and a research proposal. If the board accepts these responses, the applicant is admitted to the Ph.D. programme.

After qualifying LPU NEST (exempted on basis of UGC (NET/ JRF)/ CSIR (NET/ JRF)/ ICAR (JRF/ SRF) examination/ SLET (Punjab only)/ GATE/ GPAT/ ICAR (NET), Teacher Fellowship holder or passed M.Phil. Programme in Regular mode only), the applicant is evaluated through an interview for research aptitude, innovativeness and feasibility of the topic of research, concept clarity in discipline and attitude.
